I’m Kristy Honkomp, owner of Studio K Squared. I love photography, I love design, I basically love
anything artsy. This all should be a given though, since it IS what I do everyday! I went to UNI, and
majored in Art with a double emphasis is graphic design & photography. While working as a
graphic designer, I also shot photography on the side for friends and family. Then, I quickly got into
weddings! I absolutely LOVE weddings. Photography remained a part time love while I was busy
working & having babies, then it has slowly transitioned to full time, as I got busier & busier! I’m loving
every minute of it!

I’m a photographer, a graphic designer, and wannabe super mom to 3 CRAZY boys! I’m very fortunate that
I am able to love what I do, and able to work for myself, which gives me a little extra time with my kids .

I love getting to know the people I photograph. Quite often, I get the chance to grow with my clients. I get to shoot their wedding,
their newborns, children, families. I have some of the best clients, and I just love that most of them I get to know well and
call them my friend.

I love photography, but what I truly love is capturing each person’s life. It’s the moments that are important. Those that you don’t
ever want to forget. It’s a photograph that can help “pause” a moment, a photograph that can trigger a special memory. When you
get married, you think you’ll remember every detail, but all too quickly, it becomes more of a dream & details are forgotten. When
you hold your new baby in your arms, you think you will always remember his smell, this mouth, his cute little toes. Then all of a
sudden, you blink and they are starting kindergarten, or high school! After that, it’s the photos that bring us back, help us remember a
time, a person, or a place.
